Who hasn't wished for their very own genie to grant them wishes?
I know I have imagined what life would be like with a little help from a magical genie! How going one better.....how about two magical genies?
We were invited to the UK premiere of the new Shimmer and Shine series, which is being shown weekdays at 4.30pm on Nick Jr.
We got to watch the first two episodes in a genie inspired cinema and there were magical sights for everyone to experience (magicians and a ball sorcerer, genie dancing and dressing up as a genie).
The event was spectacular, with a few celebrities thrown in too. It was truly magical.
There are four main characters:

Shimmer and Shine |
Shimmer and Shine are twin genie sisters who are still in training (now that's the important part!) who try and help out their best human friend Leah.
Leah and Zac are best friends (and neighbours) and when Leah has a problem she can't solve she summons her two genies by rubbing on her pendant necklace. Shimmer and Shine always try and help Leah out but as they are still in-training, things don't really turn out as expected! Leah, Zac, Shimmer and Shine (and their two pets, Nahal, a Bengal tiger cub and Tala, a cheeky little monkey) get themselves into all sorts of fun and adventure whilst trying to solve their initial problem.
This is an amazing show for younger viewers. It has great, catchy songs, which the little ones are sure to be singing along too and the stories and characters are quite funny and lovable.
Don't miss this show every weekday at 4.30pm on Nick Jr. I look forward to cuddling up on the sofa with my little one whilst they giggle away at the adventures of this lovable group.
Shimmer and Shine is on every weekday at 4.30pm on Nick Jr.
